What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program is a system where people can refer business to MetaPros and benefit from the referral. Typically referrals are done through linking to MetaPros via banners or text links (even e-mail signatures). By promoting MetaPros you get to share in our success by getting a percentage of the resulting sales.

What's in this for MetaPros?
Very simply - more customers! By running an affiliate program we can pay you instead of the advertisers. In this way we are able to expand the reach of our advertising further than if we were to concentrate on a few major places alone. Also, as many affiliates promote us to family and friends it increases the chances of us gaining clients due to a more personal relationship between affiliates and the people they communicate with.

Is this a pyramid scheme?
Absolutely not! You pay nothing to participate in the affiliate program. Your commissions are paid based on sales (paying MetaPros clients), not from recruiting new members who must pay and recruit new members, etc, etc, etc.

What's is this second tier for?
A second tier affiliate program is designed to inspire affiliates to promote our affiliate program (instead of our products). By promoting the affiliate program, anyone who signs up through a special banner on your site becomes a part of your 'downline'. They get the same tier one percentage as everyone else for signups through their banner. However, because they signed up for this program through you, we pay you a percentage of their sales. In essence you'll be creating your own sales team.

Is it a one-time commission?
No, the commissions are recurring! Another great part about the MetaPros affiliate program is that we pay you monthly commissions for the referred account. That way, the more people that sign up through you, the more you earn every month. Most affiliate programs will only pay you once for a sale and keep the profits after that for themselves. We figure, if we make money every month, then so should you.

The other side of the coin however, if a domain leaves MetaPros then we can't pay you for it. The commission for that account will be stopped. We're happy to say however the 'churn rate' for accounts at MetaPros is extremely low. Our customers are happy with our services and many bring in repeat business.

How am I paid?
Affiliates are paid every month that their earnings reach more than $50(US). If your account doesn't reach that total, the amount is rolled over into the next month, until the minimum amount is reached. Your affiliate control panel will allow you to see in real time how much you've earned, and whether you've been paid yet or not.

How are sales tracked?
We track sales through CGI and cookies. When a potential client comes to MetaPros through your link, they go through a CGI script that places a cookie into their browser with your affiliate ID in it. We direct them to our home page as this gives potential clients an honest chance to look through our services before signing up. An informed customer is a happy customer. If they decide to sign up at MetaPros, the CGI script collects that data, reads the cookie, and credits your affiliate account with a sale. This has been the most effective way to track sales for any affiliate program and reduces the error rate a great deal.

What if they don't have cookies activated?
This is the problem with almost any affiliate program, and unavoidable. In most cases people don't turn this feature off anymore. Cookies have become the basic staple in most website's functionality these days. At one time cookies were considered bad for many reasons - most unwarranted. The cookie placed in the browser of someone using your link contains nothing more than the affiliate ID readily seen in the links we provide you. MetaPros cannot credit affiliate accounts that aren't collected via the cookie however.

How are my details used?
MetaPros has a privacy policy we strictly enforce. We use your contact details to send your payments to you. At times we may inform our affiliates of new packages, or special offers at MetaPros that they can pass onto prospective customers, but we will not be using your details to stuff your inbox full of junk mail. As an affiliate you are required to follow our terms and conditions, and it would be irresponsible of us not to follow those same rules.

What will get my account closed down?
A few things… MetaPros aims to have a reputation for quality services and an honest and professional image. To this end we cannot allow sites that violate our Acceptable Use Policy to join this affiliate program. The Terms and Conditions that you agree to when signing up lists some of types of sites that we will not accept. Also, any affiliate who uses spamming to promote our services, in any form will have their account closed without prior notice. If you use bulk mail it must be to people who have acknowledged that they wish to receive e-mail from you personally. If we receive an abuse complaint, your account will be closed.

Can I get commissions for accounts under my own name?
Yes you can. If you like the services at MetaPros and wish to be hosted with us feel free to sign up as an affiliate first. Then all you need to do is use the provided link to reach MetaPros. Sign up for a hosting account and that sale will be credited to your affiliate account. As with any account at MetaPros, the 30-day money back guarantee applies. Affiliates are not credited with accounts that close within this period.
