Can I incorporate AdvantageCart into my existing web site?
Yes! AdvantageCart is a "Add-On" eCommerce solution that allows merchants to have their web site hosted by MetaPros Website Solutions ™. You will simply link your website to our AdvantageCart shopping cart, the transition is seamless.


What if I do not have an existing web site?
You can sign up for anyone of our hosting plans and add the AdvantageCart shopping cart from the Account Manager in your hosting plan.


How will Internet shoppers find my new store?
By linking your new shopping cart to your existing web site you can drive customers to purchase your products. You can register with hundreds of online shopping malls and even register your new store with the major search engines.


Do I need any software to get started?
There is NO software required. AdvantageCart's revolutionary control panel is completely web based. There are NO platforms to worry about. You just have to open your browser and log in to the AdvantageCart web site. That's it! There is NO code to learn. If you can add an attachment to an email you are tech savvy enough to use AdvantageCart.


Do I need to know HTML to create my store?
No HTML or related technologies are required. AdvantageCart's easy-to-use shopping cart wizard takes care of all the setup. If you can point, click, and use a web browser you are all set!


How long will it take to get our store online?
A store with a dozen products or so can be created in less than 20 minutes. You need product information, graphic images of your products, your company logo (in .jpg or .gif format), and an e-mail address so we can send information to you. The amount of time it takes to complete a store depends on the complexity of your store.


What kind of security do we have for online transactions?
AdvantageCart utilizes the standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption protocol. This protects credit card transaction information between the merchant and my customers.


What happens when a shopper places an order on our AdvantageCart?
AdvantageCart's integrated shopping cart and online order features handle online transactions in real time. As each order is received, the credit card information is sent for purchase authorization. The order details are e-mailed to the merchant and also posted on the order management page. You can have up to 5 different places you would like the email sent to!


How can I change my password?
You have to log in to the eStore Manager, and under "User Info" you can select a new user name and password.


Can I use my own graphics to make my eStore look my website?
Yes, you can use your own graphics. Complete customization is one of AdvantageCart's most powerful features.


I am integrating AdvantageCart into my web site using frames. Is there any way to resize the cart so I can fit it within the frame?
Yes, you can upload a 1x1 clear pixel gif for the banner so that it is not displayed, this will reduce the catalog's height. Right-click here and choose "save target as..." to save a 1x1 clear pixel gif. You can also choose to not use side menu buttons in the Catalog Manager under "Options", on the first page near the bottom is a check box stating "Disable Side Menu". The base size of the catalog is 723 pixels wide, and cannot be altered below that size.


Can I set up more than one eStore on one hosting account?
Yes, you can setup as many eStore's as you like. Remember, you will be billed for each eStore you create.


I set up an extra eStore I don't need. How do I delete this eStore so I won't be charged?
In the eStore Manager select the eStore you want to delete in the drop down box. Next, click on 'Remove eStore' button to delete the eStore. You have seven days to delete any additional eStores you create before you will be charged for the additional eStore. The seven day countdown starts the same day the additional eStore was created.


I have set up my categories but when I view my cart I don't see these categories listed.
You need at least one product in the category for it to be displayed.


Are the Categories and Search buttons mandatory on the side menu bar? Is there some way to remove them?
Yes, if you'll select "Options" at the bottom of the page there is a check box "Disable Side Menu" under the heading "Manager Options". This will disable the side menus for you. Important: If you choose to do this you will need to provide your own navigation buttons by embedding the shopping cart in a frame on your website.


Does AdvantageCart handle Electronic Software Distribution?
We will be offering this feature in the near future. Currently, clients are doing ESD by selling with AdvantageCart and fulfilling orders via e-mail.
